Travel to New York...
HistoryThe Church of the Unitarian Fellowship was founded in 1954, part of a national postwar boom in church membership. One of the founding members, Charles Sankey, tells us that a chief part of the motivation was children saying, "What is our church? Why don't we go to Sunday School like the other kids?" So a few families began to meet in Niagara Falls and go over to the services at the Niagara Falls N.Y. church. The Minister there, the Rev. George Marshall, encouraged the Canadians to set up a fellowship in St. Catharines, as being far enough from the Niagara Falls N.Y. church to draw on a different population. Photos
