February 6 or 7 2012 TBD          The Economics of Sustainability  - If you are starting a recycling program at work, or thinking about investing in a renewable energy source, come out to source the facts and fiction on the economics of sustainable practises for work and home.  7 pm @ Centennial Library, St Catharines

  

April 1, 2012, 1pm                       Bus Tour of Niagara Renewable Energy Initiatives - Jump on the bus for this renewable energy tour around the Niagara area. Visit an Eco-village, get up close and personal with a wind turbine, and ask questions of home owners with solar panels.   Meet at the Climate Action Niagara @ 111 Church St, St Catharines, lunch provided.  Tour costs involved. 

 

April 16 or 17, 2012                    What is “Local” Food Security -  Film and open discussion on what ‘local’ food security means.  Hear from community reps closely involved with sustainable local food security, and generate ideas on how we can support and participate.   7 pm @ Centennial Library, St Catharines

 

May 7 or 8, 2012                         Transitions Towns (Part 2) Be a part of a Transition Town! Help the environment by initiating sustainable practices within your community.  Help drive the Change with other like-minded individuals.  Hosted in multiple venues across Niagara, call for further information
